Work resumed in early March on South Veterans Parkway between Cliff and Sycamore avenues. Crews finished installing and inspecting the 136,000 pounds, or 68 tons, of stainless steel reinforcement on the new bridge over the railroad tracks just east of Cliff Avenue ahead of pouring concrete for the new bridge last week. Other work that will occur this year includes concrete paving, striping, street light installation, pedestrian trail construction and landscaping. Work is expected to be substantially complete by the end of the year, with final completion expected in the spring of 2027.
