85th & I-29 Construction Project

85th Street & I-29

Work is off to a good start at the future 85th Street interchange on Interstate 29. This interchange will be the area's fourth diverging diamond interchange and is a joint project of the South Dakota Department of Transportation, cities of Sioux Falls and Tea, and Lincoln County. Crews are working on water main installation, grading, structural steel and bridge piles. Installation of geofoam is scheduled to begin this week. Work on this project is expected to be complete in late 2027.
